Our Teachers

Jason Wolf

Jason has extensive experience in West African and world percussion styles. He performs and teaches for all ages in schools throughout Chicago. He is fluent in French, and is the director of Pulse Beat Music.

Susie Lofton

Susie is a vocalist and guitarist, and the artist in residence for the music program at St. Therese Chinese catholic school. She teaches general music, anddirects the school choir. Susie also performs regularly with her band in Chicago.

Linda orlandi

Linda is the artist in residence at St. Angela elementary school. She teaches general music, and directs the after school music program. Linda is an experienced teacher and plays drums and piano.


Michael is an in-demand drum set player as well as an expert in marching snare. He has been an artist in residence at St. Therese Chinese Catholic school for 5 years where he directs the ongoing after school drumming program in both Taiko and drum line.

Giovany Gomez

Giovany is a multi-instrumentalist and teaches drums, guitar, and voice in our after school programs.  He is the musical director at Lincoln United Methodist and can be seen in many bands throughout Chicago.


Tosha is an accomplished dancer specializing in West African and Afro-Brazilian dance. She is a dynamic performer as well as the founder and director of Ayodele drum and dance company. She teaches dance and percussion classes both during and after school.


Andrew specializes in West African music as well as American popular music and drum line. He teaches and plays for dance class throughout Chicagoland, and is the director of the drum ensemble "The Low End Theory."

Danny Howard

Danny originally hails from the U.K and is a specialist in Afro Cuban percussion as well as orchestral percussion and drum set. He performs all over Chicago, and can be seen with his Latin jazz band Contrabanda.
